 My Literacy Journey: From the moment I first recognized letters on a page, my journey with literacy has been filled with curiosity, challenges, and transformation. Reading and writing have shaped the way I see the world. Looking back, I realize how crucial this journey has been in shaping my identity. My Earliest Memory of Learning to Read and Write I still remember the excitement of holding my first storybook, tracing the letters with my tiny fingers, and sounding out words with my parents’ encouragement. The colorful illustrations brought the story to life, but it was the understanding of the words that truly fascinated me. When I was four, my mom loved buying interesting practice exercises to help me recognize words. One that left the deepest impression on me was the number-connecting exercises, they were really fun!
